Certificate honors compliance with environmental regulations

Morgan Technical Ceramics, Certech (MTC Certech), a leader in the investment casting industry, announces that its Mexico facility has received a Clean Industry Certificate from Procuraduría Federal de Protección al Ambiente (PROFEPA), Mexico’s environmental protection agency.

PROFEPA awards the Clean Industry Certificate to companies that demonstrate compliance with environmental regulations during a voluntary audit process. Participating facilities undergo a series of rigorous reviews, and upon successful completion, receive a certificate valid for two years.

“The certificate is a great achievement for MTC Certech,” says Jim McRickard, President MTC USA. “All of our facilities are committed to strong environmental performance, and I would like to congratulate the entire Mexico team for their diligence and hard work toward meeting environmental regulations.”

A formal award ceremony was held on July 15, 2010 at MTC Certech’s Mexico facility, located in San Juan del Rio. The company specializes in meeting the needs of the investment casting industry with a broad line of complex injection molding ceramic components. These ceramic parts are used during the investment casting of turbine engine blades and vanes for aircraft and power generation, aircraft hardware, pumps, valves and sporting goods.
